In Buurkracht, they believe in the power of neighbours. The power to collaboratively make things nicer, better, greener, safer or cosier in the neighbourhood. They help neighbours throughout the Netherlands to discover and increase their neighbourhood power. They do this by bringing people together and supporting them with tips, tricks and tools. Buurkracht is a social initiative. Their aim is to connect people in neighbourhoods and support them to improve their lives. Buurkracht is independent, has no commercial objectives and makes no profit. Buurkracht is an independent foundation. The activities and staff of the foundation are financed by municipalities, provinces and the grid manager Enexis.
