The Fridays For Future (FFF) movement aims to draw public, media and political attention to the climate crisis through climate strikes and marches. FFF insists that politicians listen to scientists and develop policies that align with the Paris Agreement and urges immediate action to mitigate emissions and adapt to a changing climate. It also stresses global climate injustice and the rights of future generations. In the context of the European Union, it is important that the Green Deal announced in 2019 is not only a beautiful signboard but also a serious and binding plan for Member States to rapidly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and move towards climate neutrality.
