Findhorn Ecovillage is an ecovillage in Moray, Scotland, with the aim of exemplifying sustainable development in environmental, social and economic terms. It started back in the early 1980s and now includes a variety of organizations and activities, including a comprehensive building code that all new buildings are required to meet, an ecologically engineered wastewater treatment system, organic food production, a wind park, and a local currency called the Eko.
