Energy efficient Passive Building for Social Services of the Full House Community in Panara.

Full House Community is a Catholic religious community that aims to support the social and psychological rehabilitation of people with alcohol and drug addictions, funded by charity and community means. The project includes a pilot wood passive house (the first to be certified in Lithuania; energy consumption of 14 kWh per m2 per year), a heat pump with vertical soil collectors (16.2 kW), and eight solar heat collectors. The inhabitants of the community actively participated in the construction work; there was strong support from the Church, which was among the founders of the community and strong support from Lithuania’s Passive House Association and its members, enabling them to demonstrate the benefits of passive housing to the wider community. In a separate project, it also implemented a Herbal Desiccation building (using solar heat collectors and thermal storage) to create local businesses.
