Citizen Office for Climate Klima-Biergerrot

“Klima-Biergerrot” is a citizen consultation project announced by the prime minister in his Declaration on the State of the Nation on October 12, 2021, as a new initiative within the framework of Luxembourg’s policy linked to the fight against global warming. The specific question posed to the 100 people participating in the Klima-Biergerrot is: “Can Luxembourg go further in the fight against climate change, and does it want to? And if so, by means of which measures?”. Klima-Biergerrot began its work at the end of January 2022 and is supposed to present its conclusions in July 2022. At the end of this process, Klima-Biergerrot’s recommendations will be presented to the Luxembourg Parliament, where they will be debated and are then likely to influence the new version of the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP).
