carvelo2go is an eCargo bike-sharing service in various cities and towns in Switzerland, initiated by the Touring Club Switzerland. An electric cargo bike or “carvelo”, which can transport up to 100kg, can be rented on an app and then picked up from a host and returned. These hosts operate the bikes free of charge and are, for example, neighbourhood stores, bakeries or gas station stores. In addition, each Cargovelo is financed by a sponsor who can display its logo for an annual fee of 2,500 Swiss francs.
