Heat Columns Hőoszlop - szociális kályhacsere-program

In the winter of 2021-2022, in the settlement of Ág in Baranya county, Habitat for Humanity Hungary built five Heat Columns, which since then have provided a reliable heat source for the homes of families in need. The installation of a heat column significantly improves the quality of life of families: in addition to using less firewood and reducing air pollution, the families no longer have to get up at night to “feed” their stoves. Habitat plans to build additional Heat Columns nationwide as part of a social stove replacement program for energy-poor households, and to introduce the model to professionals in the Central and Eastern European region.
